This morning we welcomed 2 beautiful twin girls into this world. At 7:54am Adalyn Jean Lamar entered this world at 1lb 15.4 oz and 14 inches long. Her sister Emma Gail followed at 7:56am weighing 1lb 14.7 oz and 13 inches long.
As of right now they are both doing fine. Both are intubated due to their age. The neonatologists call this the honeymoon phase & say the next 48 hours are really critical. So please be praying that thet are strong, healthy, and surrounded by God's strength and power. The neonatologist already commented that they are fiesty & he knew nothing about how they were durring the pregnancy. So keep it up girls, you are strong & mom & dad love you so much!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Our daughter, Emma Faith, was born 13 weeks early on November 4th 2007. When they came in that Sunday morning at said they had to take her, an AMAZING sense of peace came over me that could have only been God.
ReplyDeleteShe had a very rough road in the beginning but has just celebrated her 2nd birthday yesterday. God has been so faithful to us. We are so thankful to Him that he brought us all through a very hard time in our lives. They said Emma was fiesty too and that is why she is here today. The fiesty ones go home, is what they told us. And she is still FIESTY to this day, but I would not change it for the world.
Know that He is holding you all so close to Him right now.
We will be praying for your beautiful family in the weeks and months ahead. May God Bless you.
Jodi

Congratulations! I love their names!! You did a great job growing those babies, Abi! May God wrap his arm of protection and healing around them and give the doctors wisdom to take the best care of them as possible. We're praying for both of you too, as you recuperate, Abi, and for the both of you to have the strength needed to get through these next few days and weeks. (It doesn't help when we're in the healthcare field, we almost know too much at times!) Take care, Toni Bulthuis
